Nothing about you is stored on the server. Your reading level, settings and saved words live only in your browser on your device. Server logs record requests (IP address, time) briefly for keeping the service running.
The server stores: your email address, your settings (level, languages, topics, sources), your saved words and done list, your credit balance and what you generated, and your invite code and referrals. That's the whole list. It is used to run the service — nothing else. It is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Story generation and questions are processed by Anthropic's API. What is sent there is the story material and your question — not your email or identity. If you use your own API key, requests go from your device to Anthropic directly under their privacy terms, and the key never leaves your device.
No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting. The app keeps your session and preferences in your browser's local storage because that is what makes it work.
Messages sent through the contact form are stored so they can be read and answered, with your email attached only if you were signed in when you sent one.
Data is stored on servers in the EU. The website is served through a CDN.
Delete your account in the app (Account, Delete account): your email, settings, words, balance and referral record are removed from the server permanently, at that moment. No grace period, no "deactivation".
